The date I would quote
Abyssal Escape opened its public alpha on 2026-10-17. The 2026-10-10 announcement names the 17th, and the 2026-10-17 post confirms the launch day. The Roblox created field, 2026-07-31T01:07:57Z, records creation of the experience, not its public release.
There is no public version number on the Roblox page. The closest engine signal is updated 2026-10-18T20:30:04Z. I am not inventing a patch label for that timestamp. See updates for what players said changed that day.
- 2026-07-31 — Roblox experience created.
- 2026-10-10 — launch day named as the 17th on the official X account.
- 2026-10-17 — public alpha launch; the later invite check shows [RELEASED] in the Discord name, without establishing when the rename happened.
- 2026-10-18 — platform updated field at 20:30 UTC; no published patch version was verified.
- 2026-10-19 — active players verified; Alpha remains the public status label.
If Roblox says unavailable
A historical player-count snapshot cannot diagnose your account or device. Reopen the official listing and check its current message; this audit did not reproduce an outage or establish a shutdown date. Follow play for the verified launch path and reported controller issues, FAQ for compatibility limits, and codes for the separate rewards question.
Questions
When did Abyssal Escape release?
The public alpha opened on 2026-10-17. The Roblox created timestamp is 2026-07-31, which is when the experience record was made, not the launch.
Is the alpha still open?
The 2026-10-19 check found active players and an ALPHA RELEASE title. That does not guarantee access for every account, device or region, or rule out a later outage.
