Names and later form

2017X, as depicted in Abyssal Escape, is called The Broken Face in the community wiki and in a creator title. That is not another roster slot. Beast Form is the later phase discussed in player comments; the short wiki entry does not establish that Broken Face is exclusively the final phase.

Role and creator opinion

snoop titled the 2026-10-12 showcase as the most fun EXE. That is an opinion, not a win-rate claim. Just5ome0n3 explicitly marks the 2026-10-14 gameplay as early access before public testing.

Evolution evidence

The official description confirms evolution generally. In October 18–19 UTC comments, players describe the later Beast Form as slower or less engaging than earlier phases. The developer intro preview was posted on 2026-10-11 at 16:16:17 UTC. It is presentation evidence, not a patch note. No official phase clock, damage table or complete kit was verified as of 2026-10-19.

Surviving the late phase

A complaint about weaker Beast Form does not guarantee an easy escape. Keep routes to the objective and exit in mind; this is general advice rather than a tested phase counter. Escape timer and survivor abilities explain the verified objective and limits of launch-weekend reports.

Is Broken Face a different killer?

No. Just5ome0n3’s 2026-10-14 title puts “THE BROKEN FACE” and 2017X on the same video. Community pages use The Broken Face as the wiki name for 2017X.

Is Beast Form stronger?

Players on launch weekend said the opposite. Comments called Beast Form slower, with a poor jump and a weak grab, even while calling base 2017X fun to play.
